"The Woman In Black" Poster Analysis

In the “Women In Black” the poster is very simple but effective, With the colours it gives it a sort of creepy look and a very dull looking maybe giving it a sense of olden days towards it. The face expression on the main subjects face looks very scared with wide eyes and the pale face gives it a sense that the character is scared.
With the title of the letters are edited into a smoky sorting a effect and just above the text forms as sort of ghost smoky face which gives it a very thrilling and scary sense, hinting that its about ghosts. The question on the poster asking, “Do you believe in ghosts” gives about the genre of the movie showing that it’s a paranormal/thriller.
The shadows on the face give it a dark sort of “hidden in the shadows” look and its quite creepy. The whole of the colour of the background is grey and smoky look creating the atmosphere of the whole film.

"Tinker Tailor Solider Spy" Poster Analysis

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Poster – Its a large blue posters were the main character or subject of the film is standing in the middle full colour. In the background there are clips of the other characters in the film where they are all discolored and are blue giving it a sort of crime look towards it because of the sort of toner colour feels like your in a black developing room. All the characters seem to be gazing at something, making them look like they’re trying to figure something out, which links to a crime sort of film?
Apart form the pictures of the characters in the background of the poster the other part of the back ground is very small text (code) giving us an idea of what type of movie it is because numbers and codes are always normally used in Crime/mystery films.
The title of the movie is straight and smart looking and stands out with the colour red, as all the other colours are smooth and not sharp.
“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” gives the audience a little hint again about what genre movie it could be with “Spy” at the end of it showing that it could me a mystery film.
